The NBA playoffs have begun. Each playoff team is hoping that a hero can step up and carry them to the next round of the post-season. Here are three players who can become such heroes and therefore increase their stock
1. Terry Rozier
Current Price: $111.34
Terry Rozier has the task of replacing Kyrie Irving for the 2018 Boston Celtics. Rozier’s role has increased significantly and so far he’s lived up to the expectations. Throughout the regular season, Rozier averaged 11.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.9 assists. However, Roziers’ numbers were more impressive in the games he started. In those games, he averaged 15.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game. Considering Rozier is not only starting for the Celtics in the playoffs, but also leading them, he should be worth more than his current value of $111.34 per share.
2. Larry Nance Jr
Current Price: $84.80
Larry Nance Jr is another player who should be seeing an increased role in the playoffs. Nance has been a great pickup for the Cleveland Cavaliers. He is able to bring versatility to the Cleveland offense and due to his athleticism can be a threat on both ends of the floor. Nance should see a big increase in minutes throughout this series and thereby an increase in production. For a low price of only $84.80, buying shares of Nance should be an easy way to profit.
3. Ersan Ilyasova
Current Price: $74.94
Ersan Ilyasova balled out in his first two playoff games with the Philadelphia 76ers. Ilyasova dropped 17 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in game one. In game two, Ilyasova scored 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. This kind of production from a player worth only $74.94 is a steal. Ilyasova has been so successful against the Miami Heat because he is a matchup nightmare. Standing at 6’10”, Ilyasova does a great job of spreading the floor and being a threat from deep. His height makes it difficult for shorter players to guard him and his shooting ability causes problems for his bigger defenders. Ilyasova should continue to be a force in this first round matchup, so I suggest buying some stock before his price goes up.
